Thomas "David" Crow, beloved husband, father, Papaw, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, at the age of 78.

David was born May 10, 1948, in Dalton, Georgia.

David was a man of deep faith, strength, and unwavering love for his family. He was known for his kind heart, fearless spirit, and great sense of humor that stayed with him until the very end. If you asked David how he was doing, his answer was almost always, "Wide open!"

A protector by nature, David never hesitated to stand up for the people he loved or to speak his mind. Beneath his strong exterior was a compassionate heart, always willing to lend a hand or share a laugh. His family was his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

David was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Brenda Crow; his parents, Charles F. Crow and Maxine Kephart Crow; his brother, Michael Crow; and his sister, Mary Ann McCarty, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bobby and Thelma Stone, , brothers-in-law, Richard Ellison and Gary Stone.

He is survived by his children, Scott Crow (Loretta), Tammy Duke (Jeremy), and Matthew Crow (Brittany); his grandchildren, Sarah Joyave (Joseph), Katie Nottingham (Zack), Brevin Duke, Aiden Crow, Grayson Crow, and Logan Crow; his great-grandchildren, Stella Joyave, Lucas Joyave, and Charlotte Nottingham; his brothers, Allen Crow (Carol) and Jerry Crow (Brenda); his sisters, Ruth Epps (Robert), Carrie (Jeff) Murphy; sisters-in-law, Judy Ellison, caregivers, Nina Stone, and Susanne Crow and caregiver Hattie Fitsimmons; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

David proudly served his country as a Specialist Five with the 589th Engineer Battalion in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He later was as a deacon at Liberty Baptist Church, where his faith and servant's heart touched countless lives. He dedicated more than 20 years to Dalton Utilities, where his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family were evident every day.

David will be remembered as a faithful servant of God, a devoted family man, a hard worker, and a loyal friend. His courage, honesty, laughter, and unconditional love leave a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Services to celebrate the life of Thomas David Crow will be held Friday morning, July 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Dr. Danny Cochran and Raymond Caylor officiating. He will be laid to rest at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Military graveside honors will be provided by the Dalton American Legion Post #112.The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday evening and after 9:00 a.m. Friday morning until the service hour.
