Mrs. Thelma Kirk Rose, 83, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life on Sunday night, May 26, 2019 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Rose was born in Inez, Kentucky on May 31, 1935.  She was a daughter of the late Kin and Altia Chaffins Kirk.  Along with her mother and father, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Allen Kirk.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Valerie and Clinton Massey, Lisa Kirk, all of Calhoun, Georgia, Henrietta Lankford of the Nickelsville Community, and Kathleen Moore of Kentucky; a sister, Zelda Johnson of Kentucky; four granddaughters and two grandsons; eight great-granddaughters and eight great-grandsons; three great-great-grandsons and two great-great-granddaughters;, also survive.

A private interment will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Resaca, Georgia.
