Mrs. Thelma Virginia Dyer, age 66 of Dalton, GA, departed this life, Wednesday January 13, 2021 at Hamilton Medical Center. She was born December 2, 1954 in Dalton, GA a daughter of the late John B. and Catherine Blaylock Shoemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Lynn Dyer Sr., sisters, Johnnie Cannon, Frances Ensley, sister-in-law, Maybell Shoemaker.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie Lynn Dyer Jr. and Shannon Dyer of Dalton, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Floyd Williams of Dalton, GA, Denise and Rick Rhinehart of Villanow, GA; grandchildren, Kade Stephens, Hunter Stephens, Chris Williams, Christopher Cannon, Heath Simmons, Brandon Simmons; great grandchildren, Alexa, Grayson, Jewels, Asher, Kinzi, Kizer, Braylon, Brooklon; brothers and sister-in-law, Earl Shoemaker of Chatsworth, GA, Daniel and Jan Shoemaker of Cucamonga, CA, James Shoemaker of Dalton, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mildred and Billy Bailey of Rocky Face, GA, Mary and Kelly Painter of Chatsworth, GA; special nieces, Lorie Basler, Jennifer Robinette; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Thelma Virginia Dyer will be held Monday January 18, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Jamie Basler officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
