Mr. Terry Edward Ray, age 74, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday, August 19, 2023, at the Pruitt Health Care.

Terry was born May 4, 1949 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late Sherman Edward Ray and Lucille Grant Ray Millsap. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Minnie Talley Grant and Matt and Pearl Ray.

He loved watching Georgia Bulldogs, Gun Smoke, and the Lone Ranger, while chewing his tobacco and relaxing in his favorite chair.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Garry Mckeehan of Rocky Face, GA; nephew and niece, Sean and Heather McKeehan; great-nephews, Taylor and Dylan Mckeehan all of Tunnel Hill, GA; aunts, Barbara Kilgore of Summerville, GA, and Vivian Grant of Dalton, GA.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Terry Edward Ray will be held Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Bret Yaeger officiating.  He will be laid to rest with his family at West Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 11:00 a.m. Thursday until the service hour.
