Mr. Terry Phillips, age 47, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, July 3, 2016 at the Murray Medical Center in Chatsworth, Georgia. Terry was born August 24, 1968 in Dalton, Georgia.

Terry was a supervisor at Shaw Industries Plant #4, where he had worked for twenty-eight years. Terry never met a stranger and loved life.

Terry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Jewell Keener and Delcie Phillips.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving parents, Billy and Pauline Phillips of Dalton, GA; brother, Mike Phillips of Charlotte, NC; nieces and nephews, Rendy Ellis, Morgan Langford and Michael Shane Phillips; great-nephew, Hayden Cade Ellis; aunts, Susie Newton and Rosemary Queen; special cousins, Sonya Johnson, Lisa Daniel, Tammy Franklin, Dusty Hayes, Barbie Tatham and Jeannie Newton; sister-in-law, Carlene Shane and Johnny Welch; many special friends, and he loved them all.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Terry Phillips will be held Wednesday morning, July 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Brother George Cross officiating. He will be laid to rest at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens with his friends and family; Sonya Johnson, Lisa Daniel, Tammy Franklin, Dusty Hayes, Barbie Tatham and Jeannie Newton, David Lawson and Pete serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday evening and after Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. until the service hour.
