Mrs. Telitha "Genearl" Hall, age 84 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life peacefully, Monday, July 18, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Genearl was born February 17, 1938 in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter of the late Otto and Velma Curtis Gazaway. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-seven years, Robert Virgil "Bob" Hall Jr., granddaughter, Brooklyn Nichole Hobbs, brother, Lamar Gazaway, sisters, Martha Sowder, Ellen Stephens, brother-in-law, Dave Layton. Genearl was retired for the U.S. Postal Service where she worked for over thirty-four years. She was a member of The Church of God of the Union Assembly.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Sonja Hall, Lane and Maranda Hall of Dalton, GA, Roger and Brenda Hall of Cleveland, OH; daughters, Lisa Barnett and Coburn Lowman of Dalton, GA, Rita Puckett, Robbie Ann Brown of Bradenton, FL, Gay Hall of Portland, ME; sister, Betty Layton of Knoxville, TN; sister-in-law, Joyce Gazaway of Dalton, GA; brother-in-law, H.L. Stephens of Chatsworth, GA; twelve grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Genearl Hall will be held Saturday July 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Church of God of the Union Assembly with Reverend Pratt Hughes and Reverend Charlie Pratt officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at West Hill Cemetery with the Deacons of The Church of God of The Union Assembly serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning until the service hour.
