Mrs. Tammy R. Hudson, age 51, of Calhoun, GA, departed this life, Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Erlanger Hospital. Tammy was born April 6, 1964 in Chicago, IL.

She is survived by her father, Arnold "Pete" Burgess; mother, Reba Hullender Burgess; husband, Michael Acker; daughter, Tiffany Thortenberry; brother, Terry Burgess; sisters, Sharon Burgess, Lisa and Michael Hobson; several grandchildren.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Tammy R. Hudson will be held Friday February 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with George Cross officiating. Interment will follow in the Varnell Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday.
