Obituary

Stubby crossed the rainbow bridge Monday, August 26, 2024 in his mommy's arms following a brief illness. Stubby was rescued by his first Mom the late Terry Taylor of  Talking Rock Georgia in 2007. When his mom Terry passed away in 2008, Stubby came to live with his new mom, Elizabeth Estermyer Wilbanks, sister Emily Estermyer Bates, and brother Shawn Estermyer and it was love at the first meow (for mom and siblings anyway). In 2017, along came the absolute best cat dad a cat could ask for. With two parents to spoil him rotten, he spent his days sunbathing, sleeping on mom and dad's face, and watching tv. Stubby lived an amazing life with his best dog friend Layla until her passing in 2019. He lived the good life in his later years eating nothing but the stinkiest, fishiest, gravy his parents could buy him. The past 3 years he spent his summers and weekends relaxing at Weiss Lake in Cedar Bluff Alamama where he enjoyed his stinky fishy gravy, while gazing out at the beautiful lake, and drinking rain water to his hearts content. Although his family is mourning him deeply, we know he is running and pouncing around like a kitten. We find comfort in knowing God has and plan for all his creatures and that He was there to greet him on the other side of that rainbow bridge along with Terry and Layla. Until we meet again my boy, I will cherish every memory of you 💔
