Mr. Steven Eldon "Steve" Miller, Sr. age 64, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life, July 17, 2015 at Hamilton Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Steve was born May 5, 1951 in Dalton, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Eldon Miller, Jr. and his mother, Edna Jeanette Mallett. Steve was a lifelong member of The Church of God of the Union Assembly. Steve loved everything Western, Western Wear, Western food and every Western cowboy movie made. Steve also loved collecting antiques and anything vintage. But the true love of his life was his family and he loved his grandchildren and teaching them "The Lord's Prayer".
Steve is survived by the love of his life, Patricia Smith Miller, and celebrated their thirty-forth wedding anniversary, May 28, 1981; children, Adam Miller of San Antonio, TX, Steve E. and Candace Miller, Jr. of Fort Worth, TX; Melissa Mae Miller and Luis Puente of San Antonio, TX, Carrie LeAnn and Andy Fraser of Chatsworth, GA; brother, Davis Zapantis of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Cierra Santiago, Jiovanni Santiago, Grayson Fraser, Graham Fraser and Caraline Miller; several aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Steven Eldon "Steve" Miller, Sr. will be held Monday, July 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of God of the Union Assembly with Reverend Kenneth Sisk and Reverend Charlie Bell officiating. Music will be arranged by Trey Starnes, Marcus Sisk, Johnny Pratt and Cecilia Kitchens. He will be laid to rest at Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Bud Scalf, Franklin Mallett, Josh Burk, Eddie Mallett, Tran Sisk and Ricky Maddron serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and after 10:00 a.m. Monday until the service hour.
