Ms. Stella Mae Pettit, age 90, of Dalton, Georgia departed this life, Thursday, September 1, 2022 at the local hospital. She was born July 18, 1932 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late Cicero and Dora Anderson Chadwick. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Harry Chadwick, sisters, Clara Shook, Frances Miller, Sue Warnix, Johnnie Lou Hill.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Nancy Pettit of Dalton, GA; daughter, Brenda Cantrell of Ellijay, GA; sister, Anna Lee Lowe of Dalton, GA; grandson, Shannon Pettit; great granddaughter, Elizabeth Pettit; nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Stella Mae Pettit will be held Monday September 5, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel, Interment will follow in the Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.
