Mrs. Stella "Francine" Cook age 70 of Dalton, GA, departed this life Sunday August 19, 2018 at the Erlanger Hospital. She was born February 12, 1948 a daughter of the late James Frank and Stella Mae Carter Alligood. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Howard Hopper Jr., Garry Cook, brothers, Edward Alligood, Buddy Alligood, Lairen Alligood, sister, Maxine Anderson.

Francine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Hopper of Dalton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Billy Ray of Ringgold, GA; grandchildren, Chris Hopper, Matthew Ray; sister and brother-in-law, Sarah A. and Robert E. Melton of Greenville, NC; several other family members.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Stella "Francine" Cook will be held Saturday August 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Mark Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Mausoleum at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. Ronald Tavares, Donnie Robertson, Scott Ward, Alex Davis, Lee Rowe and Josh Harris will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday.
