Mrs. Skycha R. Herridge Mdeiway, age 50, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, January 12, 2022 in Dalton, GA.

Skycha was born February 6, 1971 in Dallas, Texas. She was a graduate of Walhalla High School in South Carolina and attended college and various trade schools for a short period of time. She became a resident of the north Georgia area in the early 90s where she gave birth to her two sons and was a stay-at-home mother for many years. Skycha was most recently employeed as a bookkeeper for Weems Engineering and also helped her husband with their dog collar and apparel business, Sky Dog Boutique.

Skycha made a special connection with every person she came into contact with. She was a bright light to those around her and brought a "sparkle" to everyday life.

Skycha is survived by her parents, David and Donna Koehn Herridge, as well as her husband Razek Mdeiway; sons, Salim (Shelby) Mdeiway, Christian (Veronica) Elliott; sister, Crissi (Eddie) Hairston; a soon to be grandson, Liam Mdeiway and granddaughter, Violet Shelhorse; nieces, Macie Higdon and Felicia Rhaine.

Service to celebrate the life of Skycha will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Bruce Beach officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
