Mr. Skipper Allen "Skip" Montieth, age 60, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Skip was born November 4, 1954 in Dalton, Ga. Skip was proceeded in death by his father, Willie "Dan" Montieth of Dalton, GA and niece, Cynthia Montieth Palamino of Dalton, GA. Skip spent many years working in the hardware business, spending time at Frakers, Hubbs, Haney and Ace Hardware. Skip made many friends while in the hardware business and enjoyed helping them with their projects.
Skip is survived by his daughter, Kelly and Paul Barnett of Atlanta, GA; mother, Martha Skipper Montieth, brothers and sister-in-laws, Danny and Patricia Montieth, Kenneth and Ginger Montieth of Rocky Face, GA; and sister, Linda Montieth all of Dalton, GA; niece, Pam and Chris Murray, great nieces, Griselda Vazquez, Kelcie and Ryleigh Murray, great nephew, Miguel Aristondo all of Dalton, GA.
A memorial service to celebrate the life Mr. Skipper Allen "Skip" Montieth will be held Monday February 2, 2015 at 7:00 P.M from the chapel of Ponders Melrose Chapel with Charlie Hamm officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday February 2, 2015 from 4:00 until the service hour.
