Ms. Shirley Ann Roach Ledford, 67, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life on Monday, December 25, 2017 at the local hospital.
Shirley was born on June 21, 1950 in Ringgold, Georgia. She was the only daughter of the late Fred and Dorothy Bunch Roach. Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Ernest Roach, Jackie Roach, and James Roach.
She is survived by her daughters, Rachel Avila of Tunnel Hill, Diane Poteet of Dawnville, and Rebecca Fair of Dalton; grandchildren, Victor Avila Jr., Griffin Avila, Amber Avila, Nicole Ledford, and Justin Luna; one great-grandchild, Bentley Phillips.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Shirley Ledford will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 12:00 Noon from the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Bramblett officiating. Shirley will be laid to rest beside her brother, Ernest, at Colonial Hills Memorial Park. Larry Poteet, Victor Avila, Angel Paniagua, Griffin Avila, Victor Avila, Josh Phillips, and Justin Luna will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour.
