Mrs. Shirley Mae Rhymer, age 66, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday morning, November 18, 2013 at the local hospital. Shirley was born March 21, 1947 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late James Walter and Arebell Silvers Patton. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Willie Bell Ault.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Larry Rhymer of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Kristina and Mel Pierce of Chatsworth, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Clifford and Annette Patton of Rocky Face, GA, Sam Patton of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Mckenna and Rucker.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Shirley Mae Rhymer will be held Wednesday November 20, 2013 at 4:00 P.M. with Pastor Wayne Cofield officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Tuesday.
