Mrs. Shirley Morrison Lawson age 72 of Dalton, GA, departed this life Sunday August 25, 2019 at the local hospital. She was born April 3, 1947 in Chatsworth, GA, a daughter of the late Claude and Lucy Carnes Morrison. She was also preceded in death by her husband Starling Lawson, brother Billy Morrison.

She is survived by her; son, Wesley and Michalle Davis of Eton, GA; daughter, Angela Maynard of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Sierra, Shiloh, and Sheldon Davis; sister, Kay Henderson, brothers, Bruce Morrison, Dennis Bain; special niece, Jaime Smith; special friends, James Davis, Gene Cook.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Shirley Morrison Lawson will be held Friday August 30, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Bruce Morrison officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday. The family will also receive friends at the Bull Creek Baptist Church in Huntsville, TN, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday August 31, 2019 with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Sam Harness officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
