Mrs. Shirley Dean Hughes Tatum age 86 of Dalton, GA departed this life Tuesday July 21, 2021 at her residence. She was born June 27, 1935 in Cleveland, TN, a daughter of the late Charlie and Gertrude Buckner Hughes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Norman Tatum, brother, Colin Hughes, sisters, Elizabeth Fuller-Gerald, Bobbie Hicks, Lucille Gaddis, son-in-law, Michael Keener, granddaughter, Karissa Tatum.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Tony Tatum, Steve and Judy Tatum of Dalton, GA, Jerry and LeAnne Tatum of Lafayette, GA; daughter, Diane Keener of Tunnel Hill, GA; brothes and sisters-in-law, Charles and Mildred Hughes, George and Janice Hughes of Dalton, GA; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held Saturday July 24, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
