Ms. Shirley Ann Floyd, age 68, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life Saturday, June 17, 2023, at AdventHealth Redmond Hospital in Rome, Georgia. Shirley was born March 19, 1955, in Calhoun, Georgia, a daughter of the late Glenn Hansel and June Powell Rogers. She was also preceded in death by her fiancée, Steve Bryant and a sister, Glenda Croy. Shirley worked many years at Sheheen Carpets in Resaca, Georgia.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey and Alicia Crowder, and Michael L. Crowder and Penny Jordan; daughter, Kimberly Bennett all of Calhoun, GA; sister, Louise and Milton Southerland of Chatsworth, GA; aunts, Margaret Duvall of Rome, GA, and Alma Harbin of Calhoun, GA; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Shirley Ann Floyd will be held Friday, June 23, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Reverend Matthew McHugh officiating. She will be laid to rest at Fain Cemetery with Jeff Burns, Greg Watson, Jeff Crowder, Tommy Lamaster, Joey Lamaster, and Trey Massingill honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel, (675, Jolly Rd, Calhoun, GA, 30701) from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and after 11:00 a.m. Friday until the service hour.
