Mrs. Shirley Ann Berry, age 80, passed away at her residence on August 23, 2022. Shirley was born in Philadelphia, Tennessee on October 19, 1941. She met her husband Franklin Edward Berry in Sweetwater, Tennessee. They were married for over fifty years. Soon after their wedding, they moved to Dalton, Georgia to begin working in the carpet industry. Shirley worked at various carpet mills as well as Conagra Foods.

She is preceded in her death by her husband, Franklin Edward Berry, and daughters Mamie Harris (Penny) and Sherron Taylor. She is survived by her son Franklin Berry Jr. of Dalton, Georgia and granddaughter Diana Zae Taylor and fiancé Kevin Barnes of Clarksville, Tennessee.

Service to celebrate the life of Shirley Ann Berry will be held Saturday August 27, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Eugene Miller officiating. Interment will follow the service at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday August 26, 2022 at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m.
