Ms. Sherry Lee Edwards McKinney, age 67 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Regency Park Health and Rehabilitation, in Dalton, Georgia.  Sherry was a loving Mother, Mamaw, Sister and Friend. She was an extremely Strong person.

Sherry was born December 23, 1955, in Ringgold, Georgia, a daughter of the late Clinton Mark and Earsie Marie Smith Edwards.  She was a 1973 graduate of Westside High School.

She was also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Harold Bigham, brothers and sister-in-law, Darrel and Peggy Edwards, Eugene Edwards, Jeff Edwards, Bobby Edwards, and Hugh Edwards.

She is survived by her son, Cory McKinney of Chattanooga, TN, daughters and sons-in-law, Terra and James Thomas of Tunnel Hill, GA, Kayla and Gary Crawley of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Heather, Jenna, and Kaylee Crawley, Hannah, Emma, and James Thomas; sisters, Marie Head, and Mary Turner; brothers and sister-in-law, James Edwards, Marcus and Kay Edwards all of Dalton, GA; several nieces, nephews and many cousins.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Sherry Lee Edwards McKinney will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 7:00 P.M. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Stephen Cameron officiating.  She will be laid to rest with her parents at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Tunnel Hill, Georgia.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel, Thursday, October 12, 2023, after 5:00 p.m. until the service hour.
