Ms. Sherron Diane Taylor, age 60 of Cohutta, Georgia, departed this life Monday, July 18, 2022. Sherron was born July 2, 1962 in Chatsworth, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father, Franklin Edward Berry Sr. and her sister, Penny Harris.
Sherron graduated from Northwest Whitfield High School, class of 1980. She attended the Dalton Vocational School of Health Occupations, graduating in 1983 as an LPN. Sherron worked at Hamilton Medical Center's Women's Services, maternity and postpartum for 34 years. She touched countless lives during her professional life as a nurse, and will be greatly missed by her extended hospital family.
Sherron is survived by her daughter, Diana Zae Taylor and her fiancé Kevin Barnes of Clarksville, Tennessee; mother, Shirley Ann Cannon Berry of Dalton, Georgia; brother, Franklin Berry Jr. She is also survived by the father of her daughter, Jeff Taylor.
Service to celebrate the life of Sherron will be held Saturday July 23, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. from Ponders Funeral Home with Pastor Shane Chastain and Pastor Eugene Miller officiating. She will be laid to rest with her father and sister at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, with Tim Timms, Eli Timms, Daniel Groce and Scott Taylor serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel, Friday July 22, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday July 23, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at 4:00 p.m.
