Mrs. Sheila Elaine Thurman Gray, age 54, of Calhoun, GA, departed this life Sunday, April 9, 2023 at the Advent Health Redmond. She was born May 6, 1968 in Calhoun, GA. She was preceded in death by her father, James Jim Thurman, husband Phillip Gray, sister Tammy Thurman.

She is survived by her mother, Margaret Thurman; brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Linda Thurman of Calhoun, GA; niece, Alice and Delono Higginbotham of Dalton, GA; nephews, Blake Simerly, James Thurman, Chris Thurman, Andrew Thurman, Jace Arnold; stepchildren, David Gray, Anthony Gray, Crystal Gray of Adairsville, GA; grandchildren, Bailee Harris, Braxton Harris, Destiny Gray, Danielle Gray, Landon Sheriff; brother-in-law, George Gray; cousins, Amber Stetson, Luna Ray; several other family also survived.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Sheila Elaine Thurman Gray will be held Wednesday April 12, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Calhoun Chapel. Interment will follow in the Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery with James Thurman, Andrew Thurman, Blake Simerly, Terry Baldwin, Michael Baldwin and Delono Higginbotham serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
