Mrs. Sharon Denise LeRoy Lumpkin, age 61 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the local hospital. Sharon was born March 30, 1957 in Dalton, Georgia.  Sharon was preceded in death by her loving husband of thirty-four years, Henry Lumpkin, father, Freddie LeRoy, step-sons, John Billy Lumpkin and Rodney Michael Lumpkin, brother-in-law, Mike Sane, step-father, Jack Jordan, grandparents, Grady and Bertie Mullinax.

Sharon was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother and her favorite role was, "grandmother". She loved her family more the anything and was "Nannie" to her precious grandchildren. She was loving, unselfish and a very hard worker. She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. She will be truly missed. She was very active with the FFA Alumni and attended many 4H/FFA Livestock Shows around Georgia, and Tennessee.

Sharon is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Zack and Tesha Lumpkin; grandchildren, Madi, Mia and Ace Lumpkin; mother, Jean Mullinax Jordan, sisters and brother-in-law, Rebecca Sane, Patricia and David Rymer; special nephews, Brandon and Tara Sane, and Grant Sane; great-niece and great-nephew, Braelynne and Boston Sane her step-children and step-grandchildren, whom she regarded as her own, step-son and step-daughters-in-law, Roger and Sheila Lumpkin, Deborah Lumpkin and Darlene Lumpkin; step-daughter, Henrietta Cameron; step-grandchildren, Chris Lumpkin, Rodney and Amy Lumpkin, Kim and Stuart Speer, Missy and John White, Keith and Beatriz Lumpkin, Kevin and Tina Lumpkin, John and Tabitha Cameron, Stephen and Tiffani Cameron, Matthew and Jennifer Cameron; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Margaret Wofford, Mary Lee and Harold Gazaway and William Lumpkin; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Sharon Denise LeRoy Lumpkin will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ronald Guffey officiating. She will be laid to rest with beloved husband at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Resaca, Georgia, with Reverend Darey Kittle in charge of graveside rites. Pallbearers will be Brandon Sane, Grant Sane, David Rymer, Chris Lumpkin, John Cameron, Keith Lumpkin, Kevin Lumpkin, Stephen Cameron, Matthew Cameron, Rodney Lumpkin, Stuart Speer and Ace Lumpkin.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until the service hour.
