Mrs. Sharon Jean Baker , age 82, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday, July 25, 2022 at her home. She was born April 1, 1940 in Kingston, MI, a daughter of the late Robert and Maxine Schlicker. She was also preceded on death by her grandson Jonathan Douglas, son-in-law Richard Douglas. She proudly served her country in the United States Army.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Max Baker of the residence; son, Blaine Baker and Karen Duncan of Chatsworth, GA; daughter, Donna Maxine Douglas of Monroe, GA; sister Donna Dunn; niece, Pam Dunn both of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Courtney Whaley, Andrew Douglas, Whitney Douglas; great grandchildren, Christopher, Rebecca.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Sharon Jean Baker will be held Thursday July 28, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Rick Burns officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The American Legion Post 112 will be in charge of military honors.
