Mrs. Sharon Elaine Bailey, age 68, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life, Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the local hospital. She was born March 25, 1954 in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter of the late Calvin and Marie Dyer Postell. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Tim Bailey and Marcus Bailey, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Loraine and Bob Bailey, brother-in-law, John Bailey. She was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church. She was an animal advocate with three furkids at home, Boo, Tommy and Elliot.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jack Bailey of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Bobby Lancaster of Dallas, GA; daughter-in-law, Tabitha and Rich Flickinger; sister, Deborah Postell of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Christopher Flickinger, Harley Flickinger, Samantha Flickinger; nephews, Todd and Kris Bailey of Old Fort, TN, Kenney and Crystal Bailey of Chatsworth, GA; great nieces, Reese Bailey, Abby Bailey; sister-in-law, Lynne Bailey.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Sharon Elaine Bailey will be held Friday August 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Mike Gibson, Reverend Lamar Beason and Reverend Johnny Beason officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Billy Starks, Ronnie Densmore, Rich Flickinger, Christopher Flickinger, Harley Flickinger, Todd Bailey and Kenny Bailey serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.
