Ms. Sharlene "Granny" Collins Frazier age 74, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life Sunday January 21, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 24, 1943 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a daughter of the late James Paul and Ruth Murl Farmer Collins. She was also preceded in death by the father of her children, Douglas Vance Frazier and a brother Jimmy Collins and a step-sister, Betty Ann Chapman Parker.

Sharlene was a very courageous person who could tackle any problem, even rebuilding a car engine. She loved making all kinds of crafts, especially making costume jewelry with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She faced death with the same kind of courage she lived her life with and fought to the very end. Cancer may have won the battle, but Sharlene won the war. She was the owner of Kid's World Rugs and was a member of Rock Bridge Church.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Terry Norris of Dalton, GA, Connie and Darrin Locke, DeAnna and Coy Parker, Joyce and Rusty Maddox all of Calhoun, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Angie Frazier of Sugar Valley, GA, Allen and Ginger Frazier of Dalton, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Pat and Barbara Collins of Ardmore, OK, Randy Chapman of Wynnwood, OK; sisters and brothers-in-law, her twin sister, Shirlene and Gary Mitchell, Judy and Roger Gross all of Okmulgee, OK, Cecile and Henry Ras of Tulsa, OK; step-sister, Carolyn Chapman of McLester, OK; step-brother, Eugene Chapman of Jenks, OK; special friend, Jerri Edwards of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren, Elise Hartley, Patty Hurd, Matthew Norris, Brandon Parker, Brian Parker, Tasha Busie, Bethany Parker, Baylee Parker, Elijah Parker, Corey Bryant, Chris Frazier, Jessica Timms, Rebecca Gulledge, Rosa Locke, Allison Locke, Joceline Locke, Ashley Holliday, Eric Patterson, Derek Patterson, Allison Locke and Hannah Morrison; twenty-three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and her special companion, her little tea-cup Chihuahua, Sweet Pea.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Sharlene Collins Frazier will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Reverend Carll Converse officiating. She will be laid to rest at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Garden with Matthew Norris, Brandon Parker, Brian Parker, Eric Patterson, Derek Patterson and Corey Bryant serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Seth Rance, Baylee Parker, Elijah Parker and Gene Dover. The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the service hour.
