Mr. Sergio De Santiago, age 69, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life, Sunday, June 9, 2024 at his residence.

Sergio was born April 5, 1955, in Jalisco, Mexico, a son of the late Roberto de Santiago and Magdalena Carrillo. He worked many years at Beaulieu of America and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

He is survived by his sisters, Elena de Santiago, Pina Foseca both of Chicago, IL, and Chelo Lugo of Walterboro, SC; brothers, Abelardo de Santiago, Roberto de Santiago both of Chatsworth, GA, and Heraclio de Santiago of Dalton, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 14, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Javier Munoz officiating. He will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery, with family and friends honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and after 10:00 a.m. Friday until the service hour.  Rosary will be held Thursday, evening at 7:00 p.m.
