Mr. Scottie Lamar "Scott" Horn, age 57, of Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life Monday morning, March 11, 2024 at his home.

Scott was born September 28, 1966 in Dalton, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Troy and Nina Walston, a brother, Timothy LeDon Horn and his step-father, Raymond Carlton Williams.

He is survived by his children, Nicholas Horn and Brittany Horn both of Calhoun, GA, and Tyler Horn of Dalton, GA; mother, Judy Walston Dean of Rocky Face, GA; father, Johnny Horn of Dalton, GA; brothers, Travis Horn and Debbie Brown of Cohutta, GA, and Ryan Horn of Soddy-Daisy, TN; sister, Shelia and Jeff Jones of Calhoun, GA; nieces and nephews, Erica and Shane Buzan, Casandra Horn, James Harper and Coty Horn; cousin, Annette Walston; special friends, Sherry and Johnny West of Chatsworth, GA; eight grandchildren and other cousins and friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Scottie Lamar "Scott" Horn will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Johnny West officiating. He will be laid to rest with his brother at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Catoosa County, Georgia, with Johnny West, James Harper, Shane Buzan, Ethan Phillips, Jeremy Lockard and Landen Cowart honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 11:00 a.m. Thursday until the service hour.
