Ms. Sarah Nell Baldwin Bowen age 69, of Lafayette, Georgia, went to be with our precious Lord and Savior Sunday March 16, 2014 at Heritage Healthcare of Shepard Hills. Sarah was born May 12, 1944 in Fort Payne, Alabama, a daughter of the late Obbon and Rosa Bell Baldwin. She was also preceded in death by her son, Vincent Burns, brothers, Obbon Junior Baldwin, Franklin Delano Baldwin. She was a native of Alabama and had lived in the North Georgia area for fifty years.

She is survived by her son, Phillip Burns of Tunnel Hill, GA; grandsons, Patrick Burns of Tunnel hill, GA, Kenneth Burns an great grandson, Hayden Burns of Chatsworth, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Earlene Baldwin of Huntsville, AL, Coy and Ellen Baldwin of Fyffe, AL, Max and Ann Baldwin, Wayne and Kathy Baldwin of Rossville, GA; sisters, Lillie Baldwin of Rossville, GA, Kathleen Baldwin of Cleveland, TN, Frances Harp of Rossville, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Ms. Sarah Nell Baldwin will be held Tuesday March 18, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Bobby Timms officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Kilgore Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Monday and after 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday.
