Ms. Sandra Diane Byars, age 60, of Chatsworth, GA, departed this life Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the Erlanger Hospital. She was born September 2, 1960 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late George and Daisy Allmon Chastain. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Mark Chastain, sister, Jane Chastain.

She is survived by her companion, Mark Bennett of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Charles Byars Jr. and Ashley Byars of Rosedale, GA; daughters, Sherry Ivey of Dalton, GA, Crystal Nell Byars, Jessica Byars of Resaca, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Ricky and Betty Chastain, Brian Chastain of Chatsworth, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Ron Netemeyer of Dalton, GA; eight grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Ms. Sandra Diane Byars will be held Tuesday March 30, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the Ponders Colonial Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday.

Due to the national health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
