Mr. Samuel Seay Jr., age 83, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday, September 29, 2017 at Ridgewood Manor Healthcare. He was born September 5, 1934 in Hill City, GA, a son of the late Samuel Seay Sr. and Mary Hazelwood Seay. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Gordon Seay, brothers-in-law, Henry "Achie" Mitchell Jr., Herschel "Grady" Mullinax Jr. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his sisters, Brownie Mitchell, Virgie Mullinax both of Dalton, GA, Sara Crook of Alabama; nephews and nieces, Terry and Sandra Mitchell, Lexie Mitchell, Regina Johnston all of Dalton, GA; great nieces and nephews, Tera and Bobby Gee, Nikki and Larry Haddaway of Florida, Tasha and Colter Bradford of Dalton, GA, Brice and Breanna Johnston of Alabama, Nigel Mullinax of Dalton, GA.

The family will receive friends at the Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday October 1, 2017.
