Mr. Samuel C. Jones, age 51, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the local hospital. Samuel was born February 25, 1963 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Columbus Jones, brother, Thomas Alvin Jones.

He is survived by his mother, Ann Jones; brother, Dave Jones; aunt, Zona Terry all of Dalton, GA; niece, Misty and Brandon Hooker; great niece and nephews, Lannie Hooker, Eric Hooker, Tyler Hooker all of Chatsworth, GA. Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Samuel C. Jones will be held Monday, June 2, 2014 at 1:00 pm. From the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Ronald W. Laughland officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.
