Mrs. Sally Ann Johnson, 85, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life early Saturday morning, May 18, 2019 at her home.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on March 18, 1934. Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years Mr. Carl Russell Johnson. Along with her husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister, June Sanchez; and her brother Robert Milton Van Valkenburg.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughters, Denise Carter, Laurie Stone, and Sandra Baltes; son, Dennis Johnson; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Sally Johnson will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Christ The King Lutheran Church with Pastor John Rossing officiating.  Interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery with Jonathan Stone, Scott Mays, Tanner Sosebee, Gary McConathy, Jacob Oneal, and Jeremy Oneal serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Johnson's family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM
