Mrs. Sadie Mae Smith, age 88, of Dalton, GA, departed this life, Wednesday January 20, 2021 at Wood Dale Health and Rehabilitation. She was born July 7, 1932 in Cedartown, GA, a daughter of the late George and Lillian Turner Pitts. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Smith Sr., grandson, Timothy Glenn Smith; siblings, Mary Crawford, Pearl Tanner, Edna Hindman, Jennell Gaylor, Estell Milan, Bell Harry, J.D. Pitts, Jr. Pitts.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn Smith Jr. and Debbie Smith of Dalton, GA, Terry and Brenda Smith of Chatsworth, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Yvonne and Jack McGuire of Dalton, GA, Teresa and Jimmy Byers of Cohutta, GA; four grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Private graveside service will be held Tuesday January 26, 2021 from the United Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
