Mrs. Ruth Annette Rader age 98, of Dalton, GA, departed this life Thursday September 19, 2019 at the local hospital. She was born October 3, 1920 in Johnstown, PA, a daughter of the late Daniel and Mabel Haagen Cole. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Major Leroy Rader, brothers, Daniel Cole, William Cole, sister, Mary Fyock. Ruth graduated from Johnstown High School and received a nursing degree in 1943.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, James Rader of Dalton, GA, Robert and Nancy Rader of Tallassee, AL; grandchildren, Beth Rader Michaels, Amy Rader, Richard P. Rader, Laura Suzanne Roberson, Patrick Whitlock, great grandchildren, Adelyn Michaels, Sydney Michaels, Caroline Roberson, Aile Roberson and several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ruth Annette Rader will be held Sunday September 22, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. in the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Bishop Reuben Graham officiating. Interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
