Mrs. Ruth Cross Parker, age 89, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at her home. She was born March 21, 1933 in Isabella, TN, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Eva Mae Hughes Cross. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Malvin Eugene Parker, sons, Michael Lewis Parker, Kenneth Eugene Parker, brothers, Hansel, Hoyt, James, Wendell, Edgar and Lloyd Cross, sisters, Edith Quinn, Louise Voyles, Jessie Mae Cross, Inez Cross.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Cody and Amanda Parker, Shawn Parker of Dalton, GA, Brandy and Tommy Koory of New Mexico; brother, Alvin cross of Dallas, GA; sisters, Lucil Baggett of South Carolina, Eloise West of Chatsworth, GA; six great grandchildren.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ruth Cross Parker will be held Monday June 13, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Victor Vance officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
