Mrs. Ruth Mitchell, age 78, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Saturday, June 20, 2020 at her residence. She was born March 17, 1942 in Kentucky a daughter of the late George Pollitt and Mary Crawford Pollitt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Mitchell, brothers, Lonzo Pollitt, Billy Hill, Thomas Pollitt.

She is survived by her sons, James Bryant of Chatsworth, GA, William  Bryant Jr of Kentucky; daughters, Linda and David Duncan, Louise Hamm, of Kentucky, Dorothy Silcox, Shirley and Curtis Cline of Resaca, GA; Jewell Pollitt, Leo Pollitt of Kentucky; sister, Helen Griggs of Kentucky; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ruth Mitchell will be held Monday June 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. wat the Ponders Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Lam Hamm officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Colonial Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
