Mrs. Ruth Weaver Fryer, age 92, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday evening, April 29, 2020 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Ruth was born June 12, 1927 in Jasper, Georgia, the daughter of the late Noel Weaver and Mae Cochran Weaver. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Floyd Fryer, brother, Herbert Weaver, sister and brother-in-law, Myrtle and Rembert Holmes, brother-in-law, Reverend Erwin Crider and great-great grandson, Terry Gibson. Ruth was a faithful charter member of Cleveland Heights Baptists Church for 70 years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and reading her bible daily.

Ruth is survived by her children, Shorty Caldwell, Ted and Linda Caldwell, Johnny and Brenda Caldwell and Jean Dixon, all of Dalton, Georgia. She is also survived by her sister, Stella Crider; sister-in-law, Mae Weaver; grandchildren, Lisa and Bruce Jones, Tim and Tina Caldwell, Tony and Gabby Caldwell of Nashville, TN, Karen and Robert Alexander, Tabatha and Mark Barnhardt, James and Rebekah Caldwell, Amy and Hoyt Whitener, Noel and Brenda Caldwell, Chris and Tammy Caldwell, Eric Dixon, Jason and Kathy Dixon, Crystal and Rex Patterson, 20 great- grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

The service to celebrate the life of Ruth will be held Saturday May 2, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. from Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens at the Celebration Mausoleum Pavilion with Brother Bruce Headrick officiating. She will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers, Tim Caldwell, Noel Caldwell, Chris Caldwell, James Caldwell, Jason Dixon and Rex Patterson.

The family will receive friends Saturday May 2, 2020 at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 1:00 p.m. til 3:30 p.m.
