Mr. Russell Kenneth Zeigler, 70, of Knight Road in the Ranger community, departed this life Friday evening, March 22, 2019 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Zeigler was born on January 16, 1949 in Muncie, Indiana, the only son of Robert Kenneth and Betty Lue Zeigler. Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by his loving wife on October 6, 2015, Pamela Kay Zeigler; a son, Eric Lee Zeigler; and a great-grandchild, Preston Redmond. Mr. Zeigler served in The United States Army and fulfilled two tours of duty during the Vietnam Conflict.

He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Carey Redmond of Cartersville, Georgia, Jackie and Clay Cain of Ranger, Georgia; son, Joseph Zeigler of Cartersville, Georgia; sisters and brother-in-law, Linda and Bobby Holt, and Teresa Prado all of Las Vegas, Nevada; twelve grandchildren,  nine great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.

To fulfill Mr. Zeigler's wishes he will be cremated. Following cremation Mr. and Mrs. Zeigler will be laid to rest together at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia on April 9, 2019 at 2:00 P.M.
