Mrs. Ruby Lois Pilcher Sanford, 89, of Dalton, Georgia, and formerly of Tennga, Georgia, departed this life Thursday morning, December 26, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Ruby was born September 16, 1930 in Murray County, Georgia.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Eugene Sanford, a daughter, Brenda Pilcher, a grandson, Cain Langford, mother, Murray Beavers Crumbley, father and step-mother, Luther and Odell Crumbley, former husband and father of her children, Trammell Pilcher, Sr., brothers, Floyd and J.T. Crumbley, sisters, Evelyn Deloach and Annie Ruth Mantooth.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janita and Terry Langford; son and daughter-in-law, Trammell and Linda Pilcher all of Dalton, GA; step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Anthony and Darlene Sanford, step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Annette and Shawn Thornton all of Chatsworth, GA; brother, Thomas Crumbley of Dalton, GA; sister, Stella Marie Jones of Chatsworth, GA; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ruby Lois Sanford will be held Sunday, December 29, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Brian Ergle and her brother, Thomas Crumbley officiating.  She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Fairy Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in Murray County, Georgia.

The family will receive after 11:00 a.m. Sunday until the service hour.
