Mrs. Ruby Bell Lewallen, age 92, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 6, 1928 in Sanger, TX, a daughter of the late William Harrison and Effie Jones Haren. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life and soul mate, to whom she was married to for 64 years, Gordon Lee Lewallen Sr., sisters, Marie Haren, Ida Mae Dryman, brother, James "Jimmy" Haren, daughter-in-law, Juanita Lewallen, grandson Jesse Lewallen, great granddaughter Keslee Cordell, great grandson Titus Brown.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Gordon Jr. and Eloise Lewallen of Chatsworth, GA, Charles and Joy Lewallen of Dalton, GA, Betty and Carson Odell of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Jonathan and Renee Lewallen, Kim and Steve Chastain, Michael and Denise Odell, Rebecca and Daniel Brown, Melissa and Jeff Vess, Amy and Steve Stewart, Tara Lewallen; 22 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ruby Bell Lewallen will be held Sunday December 27, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Herman Parker, Mike Douglas, and Greg Collins officiating. Interment will be in the West Hill Cemetery with John Lewallen, Daniel Brown, Michael Odell, Jeff Vess, Steve Chastain, Gary Dryman, Jay Haren and Casey Haren serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
