Mrs. Ruby Jewell Walker Kendrick , age 82 of Dalton, GA, departed this life Tuesday, August 10, 2021.   Ruby was born September 10, 1938 in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter of the late Rollie McKinley and Vina Mae Barton Walker.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rolland Lee Kendrick and sisters, Patsy Gentry and Maxine Quarles Finley.

She was a member of Abundant Life Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, James McKinley Kendrick; granddaughters, Morgan and Caleb Redmond, Raeanna and Eric Blanton; great-grandchildren, Jayton West, Cadence West, Hunter Redmond, Cole Redmond and Presley Blanton; brother, Rollie "Buddy" and Diane Walker of Ft. Payne, AL; sisters, Teresa Hensley of Rocky Face, GA, Linda Williams of Griffin, GA, and Jackie Dyer of Calhoun, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ruby Jewell Walker Kendrick will be held Thursday evening, August 12, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Frank Cameron officiating.  The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 5:00 p.m. Thursday until the service hour.
