Mrs. Ruby Inez Davis, age 81, of Dalton, Georgia departed this life, Sunday May 14, 2017 at the local hospital. She was born January 4, 1936 in Sugar Valley, GA, a daughter of the late Julius and Lovie Dellray Montgomery. She was also preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Eugene Davis, brother, Lamar Montgomery, granddaughter, Melinda Kay Davis.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Roy Lee and Jeanette Davis of Dalton, GA, Jeffery Allan and Denese Davis of Tunnel Hill, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Sheryl and Wiley Fowler of Chatsworth, GA, Karen and James Crick of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Renee and Tom Grindle of Savannah, GA, Randall Fowler of Dalton, GA, Rodney Fowler of Chatsworth, GA, Erin Paige and Wesley Schwibbe of Rock Springs, GA, Joseph Allan and Jonia Davis of Ringgold, GA, Andrew and Tricia Green of Dalton, GA; special friends, Vicki Crider, Stella Woody, and Jeanette Pullen; five great grandchildren, cousin, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ruby Inez Davis will be held Wednesday May 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Jeff Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the United Memorial Gardens with Jeffery Allan Davis, Randall Fowler, Rodney Fowler, Joseph Davis, Andrew Green, and James Crick serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
