Mrs. Ruby Jo Collins Quarles age 88, of Dalton, GA, departed this life Tuesday October 13, 2020 at the local hospital. She was born September 9, 1932 in Dalton, GA a daughter of the late Dalphus and Luzelle Colston Collins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Quarles.

Ruby was a graduate of Valley Point School and was a member of the class of 1949.  She was considered the queen of mailing cards, it was her favorite pastime. She would send cards for every occasion staying in touch with family and friends.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Cindy Quarles; daughter, Debbie Quarles of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Magan and Michael Outlaw, Ryan Keener, Ginger Goss, Carrie and Mike Southerland; great grandchildren, Morrison, Michael, and Paul Outlaw, Ben Keener, Timothy, Taylor, Lauren, and Ashley.

Graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ruby Jo Collins Quarles will be held Thursday October 15, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Pastor Alfred Turley officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Ponders Melrose Chapel.

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Rock Bridge Community Church.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
