Obituary

Dear Friends and Family,

At 9:35 am on March 19th, 2026, Ruby crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Born in Kentucky on September 25th, 2010, she came to us, in 2011, from the Lexington Humane Society through her fosters, Eric McCrea and his mother.

Our journey took us to Opp, Alabama, where she gained a cat sister named Maddie/Mammoo, who thought she was a dog and joined us on walks. It was there Ruby once wandered into a nearby nursing home through the automatic doors to greet the residents, only to return a week later thanks to her microchip.

In Spencer, Tennessee, she lived among the mountains, swam in the lakes and once vanished for two weeks after chasing a herd of deer. Just as I feared I thought
