Mr. Ruben Garcia, age 69, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, Georgia. He was born on February 9, 1956, in Clewiston, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Garcia; brothers, Chris Garcia, Manuel Garcia, and Daniel Garcia; and sisters, Rosalinda Garcia and Diana Garcia.

Ruben was a hardworking and dedicated man who built his own company, Ruben Rod Iron Welding, from the ground up. Through perseverance and determination, he grew it into a successful business that reflected his strong work ethic and craftsmanship. When he wasn't working, Ruben loved spending time with his wife and family. He enjoyed fishing, visiting the flea market, gardening, and working on his favorite tractor. Above all, he cherished every moment with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Rosa Maria Salazar Garcia, of the residence; mother, Guadalupe Garcia; sons, Ruben Garcia Jr. and Audra Garcia, and Ramon Garcia; daughters, Patricia and Adrian Vejar, and Leticia and Juan Zamora; sister, Manuela Garcia; brothers, Guadalupe Garcia, Joe Garcia, Daniel Garcia Jr., and Robert Garcia.

Grandchildren include Alejandra (Christian) Brito, Jasmine Vejar, Diana Garcia (Tanner Deaver), Johnny (Nicole) Zamora, Manuel Zamora, Hannah Garcia (Brody Burkett), Arianna Garcia, Dominic Garcia, Marissa (Xander) Richards, Madison Stanley, and Gavyn Stanley. Great-grandchildren include Sofia Brito, Camilia Brito, Ezra Garcia, Enzo Deaver, Krew Burkett, and Saylor Burkett, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Ruben Garcia will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Iglesia Bautista Nueva Vida (1499 Riverbend Rd Dalton GA) with Reverend   Ernesto Mendez officiating. Ruben will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery with Ruben Garcia Jr., Adrian Vejor, Juan Zamora, Dominic Garcia, Johnny Zamora, Tanner Deaver, Xander Richards, Christian Brito and Brody Burkett honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday evening and again at the church after 12:00 p.m. Saturday until the hour of service. A Rosary will be held Friday evening.
