Obituary

Royce Cameron Johnson 45, was born on March 15, 1979 to Constance L. Henderson Grant and Gregory C. Johnson. He departed this life unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. He graduated from Chattanooga High School in 1998. Royce was the second child out of four children. Royce was a son, brother, nephew, uncle, and father.

Royce was baptized into Christ at an early age at the Alton Park Church of Christ, in Chattanooga, TN. He will be lovingly remembered as a big loveable teddy bear. His charm, laugh, and personality was infectious. Royce loved to cook, especially grilling. He was a team member of the Alton Park Child Development Center, helping the teachers and mostly helping out in the kitchen (his favorite place). He was always the go to person when you needed something done in the kitchen. His love of cooking was evident in every meal he prepared. We will miss the barbeque ribs he always lovingly prepared for the members of Alton Park on Mother's and Father's Day.

Royce Cameron Johnson was preceded in death by his loving mother, Constance L. Henderson Grant; maternal grandparents, Lillie M. Foster Henderson and Carey L. Henderson, Jr.; paternal grandmother, W. Marie Johnson; fraternal grandfather, Reuben Patton; maternal aunt, Audrey J. Henderson Lindsey; maternal great-grandparents, Hannah Freeman Foster Mobley and John A. Foster; paternal great-grandparents, Noble and Sadie Johnson; paternal great-grandmother, Zella M. Patton Calloway; nephew, Corbin Kain Hale.

(Chenika) Johnson; Roderick Robinson; sisters, Aretha R. (Charles) Johnson Maddox; Tomekia Hale; uncles, Stephen L. (Frances) Henderson; Phillip G. (Jacqueline) Henderson; aunt, Dorothy R.
