Mr. Roy E. Hooker Sr., age 73, of Corbin, KY, and formerly of Dalton, GA, departed this life, Thursday August 19, 2021 at the Commonwealth of Kentucky Hospital. He was born March 14, 1948 in Dalton, GA, son of the late Charles and Pearl Pauline Hooker. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Glenda Welch, Geraldine Welch, Barbara Davidson.

He is survived by his wife, Charleen Hooker of the residence; son, Roy Edward Hooker Jr.; daughters, Jaqueline Youngblood, Brittany Pangle all of Corbin, KY; sister, Charleen Long of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Michael Youngblood, Aaron Stultz, Waylon McFarland; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Roy E. Hooker Sr. will be held Tuesday August 24, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Brother Eddie Bramblett officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will follow in the Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Michael Youngblood, Lester Youngblood, Dewayne Bramblett, Adam Bramblett, Christopher Bramblett, and Michael Bramblett serving as pallbearers.
