Mr. Roy Melvin Bridges, age 67, of Dalton GA, departed this life Tuesday July 18, 2017 at his residence. Roy was born July 30, 1949 in Dalton, GA. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Bridges and his mother, Frances Massengill Bridges.

He is survived by his uncles and aunts, Morris and Mildred Massengill of Tunnel Hill, GA, Terry and Nancy Massengill of Dalton, GA, Betty Johnson of Dallas, TX; several first and second cousins.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Roy Melvin Bridges will be held Friday July 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Dewey Boyd and Reverend Wayne Hall officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
