Mrs. Roxie Lee Hughes, age 67, of Dalton, GA, departed this life, Friday December 21, 2018 at her residence. She was born June 22, 1951 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late JR and Martha Hackney Scott. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willian Robert Hughes Sr., son, William Robert Hughes Jr., brother, James Scott.

She is survived by her daughter, Ira Hughes of Dalton, GA; sisters, Shirley Scott of Dalton, GA, Elizabeth Scott of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Kendra Branson, Trey Branson, Tristen Branson, Kenwin Printup, Kendale Printup; great grandchild, Aiden Hunter.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Roxie Lee Hughes will be held Wednesday December 26, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
